TWO for TWOS-Day - Trios

Last week, Katie had her 3-year-old Pre-K class trip to Storybookland. As with all of her groups of friends, she is surrounded by boys. These are two of the group we regularly attend birthday parties with: Aiden (1 of THREE in her class) and Joshua. Don't you love how Katie is SO tall that she has to hunch down to take a picture with them?

And the week before that, we had dinner at Aunt Debi and Uncle Russ's house. Here's Katie with two of her fav cousins - Keith and Emma. By the way, I have never noticed what a LOOONG chin Keith has until seeing these pictures. Actually, at Timmy's Christening this past Sunday (pics to come or go see Debi's blog for a sneak peak), Katie, Emma, and my sister's daughter Paige were running around the house together and it was just so darn cute for me to see Katie playing with the other little girls since all of our "playdate" friends are little boys. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera right there to grab a picture, but they were all so cute together, all 3, with their long blond to strawberry blond hair.

100th Post...ALREADY!! (...and Two For Tuesday)

My maternal grandparents have 14 grandchildren and Timmy is their 6th great-grandchild. Every grandchild and every great-grandchild has received the biggest bunny my grandparents could find for their first Easter...this year, even with my grandmother being sick and just recently home from the hospital...Timmy got his bunny - and he loves it!

So, after my interview with Katie from yesterday, Katie decided she LOVED being asked questions - but when we were all done she told me she had to ask ME some questions (this was apparently all she needed before telling me that she wants "to talk" everytime we are in the car now and that she "has some questions for me") But since I'm all famous, now that I have a blog with 100 posts, I figured it was appropriate to share the transcript from the first time I was "interviewed" by my 3 1/2 year old....and I think these pictures are just the perfect introduction to the questions she asked...(I should also add that she picked out this skirt at the store. She "had to have it"...what am I in store for?)

1) Katie: What makes me so happy mommy?
Me:Ice cream
Katie: YEEEAHHH!

2) Katie: What makes me so sad mommy?
Me: When it’s your last tv show before bed
Katie: Noooo – When I go to time out

3) Katie: What my favorite food is?
Me: Ice cream
Katie: Noooo
Me: Meat?
Katie: ah HUH!

4) Katie: My next question is who loves me?
Me: Mommy loves you
Katie: Noooo (goes right into next question)

5) Katie: Who plays hide and seeks with me all the time at my house?
Me: Daddy?
Katie: Nooo – YOU mommy!

6) Katie: My next question is tickle somebody...(I tickle her)

7) Katie: My next question is after you go to the potty...wipe yourself...

8) Katie: My next question is who gets me of your car?
Me: I do?

9) Katie: Who put the light off and on?
Me: Ahhh, mommy?
Katie: No … ME!

10) Katie: My next question is ummmm – sorry mommy – I have asked all my questions.

Funny how this was my first interview as a famous person and all the questions were about her :)

TWO for TWOS-Day

Wow, I'm all choked up after reading Debi's entry for today...so I HAD to choose another baby pic myself. Yes, my days are pretty much baby-centric right now as the countdown has truly begun.

I had a trip into L&D yesterday (not for labor)...I'll post about the fun experience later on today. Katie went in with us cause Chris had to come home from work and drive me and he came in to see what room I was being put in just in case it turned in to something that I had to stay for. Anyway, she was just so cute and sweet and when they picked me up later she told me she missed me and baby Timmy SO SO much and that she loves us so much...lol...SO - this experience inspires my Two for TWOS-Day entry for today.

Cousin Paige and 1-month-old Katie

Ever since I have begun to participate in Two for Tuesday hosted by Eight is Great I knew that I wanted to post this picture at some point. Paige was so in love with Katie when she was born and they are just about the same age difference as Katie and Timmy will be. In my hopes of hopes, Katie will hold her little brother with as much awe and devotion as Paige had for Katie. She is already so loving towards him - kissing my belly every chance she gets, always remembering to include him in her list of people that she thanks God for, referring to me as baby's mommy (As in "I love you SO much baby mommy"), and always talking to him and about him....and he's not even here yet!!! I hope this innocence holds for a long, long time and she loves being a big sister.

TWO for TWOS-Day

I've decided to focus this week's Two for TWOS-Day on our two favorite football teams: Mommy's Eagles and Daddy's Broncos (although Mommy likes the Broncos, too) and our "spirit" pictures taken over the last few years. Unfortunately, the pics are a bit more lopsided to Mommy's team.

We had a different Eagles outfit and an actual Broncos outfit for 2006...but didn't seem to catch them on camera.

2007-2008

No pics from this season yet, which reminds me...Katie desperately needs a Broncos jersey or shirt!

TWO for TWOS-Day

This is Katie and her "boyfriend" Max. We met Max (along with some other good gymnastics friends) when Katie was 18 months old. They have been in the same class at the Little Gym for 1 1/2 years now. They are crazy together. Max actually tells everyone Katie is his girlfriend because he likes her pretty hair and they love to wrestle and roll around on the floor. Max is half Korean and half caucasian just like Jon from Jon and Kate Plus 8 ... so we know they'd have adorable kids, lol. I just hope it's not Max and Kate Plus 8...

Since I have tons of great pics for this category, I've decided to follow Debi and start participating in Two for TWOS-Day, started by Deanna at Eight is Great.

This theme is to show a favorite "Two-some" pic, whether it be twins, siblings, friends, husband/wife, pets, or anything else you can think of.

I have SO many great two-some pics of Katie and her 6-year-old cousin Paige, but I am in love with these pics..sorry, I couldn't choose between the two :).

These pictures were taken at the beginning of July at my cousin Ryan's 8th grade graduation party. They were just sitting in the yard watching some other cousins play. It was a total coincidence that their outfits matched so well. The girls LOVE to take pictures together, but this was precious to me due to how natural and unstaged it was. The second picture was after I called their names to get their attention after taking the first picture.
